The first featured artist to appear on this journal is:
I first found Will through my critique thread and I was instantly impressed by his attitude. He puts a lot of effort into his work and is very willing to improve as an artist. Here's the piece that I enjoy looking at the most:
This piece clearly took a long time, has a lot of really nice touches like the lava and the dragon scales, and really shows the artists dedication to creating a finished piece, which I don't often see from artists at this level. There's also a clear story going on and the composition and action of the characters shows that clearly. While it's not perfect and he does need to practise a few things, the fact that he took on the challenge of creating a piece of this complexity rather than stick with the types of art he knows how to draw tells me that he's one to watch and I think we'll be seeing a lot of good things from him.
Another one I enjoy:
I've never been one for space art, but I really like this one. The composition makes me feel like I'm looking up into space to see this sight. Again, there's a lot of detail and work been put into it and it reminds me of the excitement I felt the first time I looked through a telescope into space. Actually, it makes me want to go out and do that again. And isn't that the basis of art? To make people FEEL things? And Will does this very well
