An Update: NaNoWriMo and a Bunny Story
I've not been updating my gallery for a while lately as I've been working on a few other exciting things. I've mainly been taking part in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and have been doing really well so far! I hit 10k two days ago, and have been genuinely happy with the story progress. It's still awful, I mean you're not going to get the next best seller with a book you wrote in a month, but it'll be 50k more than I had at the beginning of the month.
The book I'm writing is a story I've been toying with for about 4 years that has the working title "Dreaming of a Halo". It's about a demon who wants to be an angel. She makes a bet with Lucifer and then attempts to fulfil her dreams, except she has unrealistic expectations about the job description... I started the story with just a loose outline and it's really ballooned into something exciting. I can't wait to finish it, edit it and start sharing it with people!
The second exciting thing that's happened this month (actually just this week) is that I've been asked to be "the" artist for an indie game called "It's a Bunny Story, Actually" that's being developed by my friend Zed. In it's early stages, the game came 8th out of 600 applicants in Humour, and it's lowest grade was 138th in Graphics and 130th Overall. I'll be doing the backgrounds, the cut scenes and making the blocks that make up the levels.
How I'm going to manage to balance NaNoWriMo AND get the game art done at the same time is something I'm figuring out on a day by day basis. But it's all so exciting!
